Like most grad schoolers, our co-founders Matt and Ben lived off of caffeine. But instead of just drinking cold brew, they obsessed over creating it. What started as a friendly competition between the two, led to the birth of Wandering Bear.

We created RISE because we were tired of the coffee products we saw on the market – loaded with sugar, calories, harmful chemicals and words we couldn’t spell. In 2014, we set out on a mission to brew the best tasting coffee on the planet, using the best organic ingredients we could source. The Brooklyn Roasting Company sources, roasts and brews superb and sustainable coffees from the world’s most renowned growing

regions and farms. We favor certified coffees (Fair Trade, Rainforest Alliance) and unique auction-lot coffees. All of our beans are locally

roasted every day in Brooklyn’s old coffee district and packaged in our state-of-the-art production facilities to maximize flavor and freshness. We celebrate coffee as a truly inspirational beverage and its vital place in our bustling culture.
