Recall: Kellogg’s Frosted Mini Wheats And Assorted
As of October 8th, 2012 we have received notification from the manufacturer that two products we carry are subject to limited recall.
The items affected are Kellogg’s Bite-Sized Frosted Mini Wheats Self-Serve Bowls 96/1 oz (code: KELFMW) and Kellogg’s Favorite Assorted Bowl Packs 96/cs (code: KELLBOWL).
The recall is limited to product with particular “Better if used before” dates and codes. If you purchased these products from CDC, please check for the below dates. If you have product that has been recalled, please discard it and notify CDC customer service at 1-800-356-8881 to receive a full credit. We are also pro-actively reaching out by phone to our customers who have purchased these products.
“Better if used before” dates to look for:
– Frosted Mini Wheats Bite Sized: APR 01 2013 – SEP 21 2013 only with code “KB” preceding or following date.
– Cereal Assortment: APR 01 2013 – SEP 21 2013 only with code “HG” preceding or following date.
This voluntary recall has been initiated by Kellogg’s due to an issue identified at a single Kellogg’s manufacturing plant. As of 10/7/2012, no injuries had been reported in relation to either of these products. The recall is precautionary. The vast majority of cereal products and Kellogg’s products that we sell are completely unaffected.
