Plenty of companies tack on fuel surcharges — justifiably so — when gas prices jump, increasing the cost of doing business. But how many companies readily scale those fuel surcharges back when costs come back down? Coffee Distributing Corp. does just that — for example, today, when we dropped our fuel surcharge from $2.25 to $2.00 per invoice.

As promised, our fuel surcharge is tied directly to our blended fuel costs — gasoline and diesel. Figures released Monday peg this average at $3.95 per gallon, putting us below the $4.00 mark for the first time in almost two months.

Stay tuned… hopefully next week we can announce another fuel surcharge reduction!
