Perfect Day For CDC Softball!
Yesterday, 50+ CDC staff members gathered at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, NY for our 2014 intra-company softball tournament. The weather cooperated and the event was a tremendous success.
All departments were represented, including staff members from both our New York and New Jersey facilities — delivery personnel, morning and evening warehouse crew members, repair technicians, customer service staff, salespeople, administrative staff, executives — a great time was had by all.
Four teams participated, with team names representing our business:
- Team “Fair Trade” honored the wide array of Fair Trade coffees that we offer.
- Team “Pride of Colombia” represented CDC’s signature Estate Select private label coffee.
- Team “Cafe Con Leche” paid homage to our bilingual staff members and clients.
- Team “Solar Power” was fueled by the solar panels on our warehouse roof.

After a morning of round-robin play, Solar Power emerged victorious. Pride of Colombia placed 2nd.
